BATON ROUGE
, La. (August 10, 2005) - The Miss Universe Organization, producer of the Miss Teen USA Pageant, has named Mystic Tan the Official UV-free Tan of Miss Teen USA 2005. The Miss Universe Organization encouraged Miss Teen USA contestants who wanted a tan to use UV-free tanning for the competition. Mystic Tan provided on-site UV-free tanning services for the contestants to tan July 25 - August 8 in Baton Rouge, La. The competition was broadcast live on NBC August 8, 2005 to a viewing audience of over six million people.
Thirty-four of the 51 contestants tried Mystic Tan in the weeks prior to the pageant, many of them coming back for multiple sessions. "Mystic Tan was a huge hit among Miss Teen USA contestants. Mystic Tan provides a real benefit to the contestants enabling them to obtain a glowing UV-free tan that is good for their skin, and can help them look great for the big night," said Paula Shugart, President, the Miss Universe Organization.
Allie LaForce, Miss Teen Ohio USA, won the pageant and was named the new Miss Teen USA 2005. Miss LaForce is a true fan of Mystic Tan and received two sessions in the weeks leading up to the pageant. "You guys made me look great! Thank you so much," said LaForce as she took photos with Mystic Tan staff after receiving her crown.
Increasingly, Mystic Tan is experiencing growth in the younger demographic and finds that younger girls are seeking Mystic Tan as their choice way of getting a golden glow. Since Mystic Tan looks great on all skin types, it's a great solution for any contestant who wants to enhance their skin.
"We think it is great that the Miss Universe Organization encourages UV-free tanning for its contestants," said Troy Cooper, Mystic Tan President. "As the provider of the most even, natural-looking UV-free tan, we are happy to make Mystic Tan available to these outstanding girls to help them look and feel their best during this exciting time."
As part of her prize package, LaForce will receive free Mystic Tan sessions at the location of her choice during her reign as well as a $2,000 scholarship from Mystic Tan.

About Mystic Tan
The Mystic Tan UV-free tanning booth uses a touch-free, spray-on tanning technique
that creates an even, natural-looking tan in less than 60 seconds that lasts
about a week. Mystic Tan's patented MagneTan technology polarizes the tanning
myst and uses the body's own magnetic properties to evenly attract micro-myst
particles to every exposed surface of the skin. Mystic Tan also offers a choice
of two tanning mysts in the same booth, ClearMyst, a time-released tan formula
that develops an even, natural-looking tan within hours; and BronzMyst, which
has the same attributes as ClearMyst, but includes an Insta-Color Bronzer for
an instantly noticeable tan. Operating since 1999, Mystic Tan is available
in salons throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland,
Australia, Spain, Italy, Poland, France and Holland, and has provided well
over 10 million tanning sessions. Learn more about Mystic Tan at www.mystictan.com.
